Dj Chela
Dj Chela is the DJ for the next generation. North Carolina-born, living in New York, she has been making her imprint in clubs, radio, award-winning mixtapes, live shows and battles, as well as social justice and healing movements. Her live sets are a dynamic mixture of Hip Hop, rock, Latin rhythms, reggae, funk, soul, disco, house and more. In 2009 she was the Winter Music Conference Spin Off battle runner-up, and also placed 2nd in the She's My Dj Battle in 2007. Chela has DJed for Saigon, Pharoahe Monch, KRS ONE, Immortal Technique, Mystic, Rah Digga and Ladybug Mecca among others, and has been featured in The Source, Allhiphop.com, Scratch Magazine, and on MTV.com. Catch her weekly show on Beatminerz Radio on Mondays 4-6pm.
Redefining the word "remix", Mariaelena "RiRi" Garcia, aka DJ Rimarkable is a renaissance woman indeed. A vocalist, lyricist, drummer, producer and DJ, her multi-talents have taken her to many stages. Truly mastering the DJ technique of "Reading the Crowd", she has earned the moniker, "Rimarkable” after rocking dance floors across Michigan, San Francisco, and NYC for more than 13 years. She is a member of the all female-DJ squad Ubiquita NYC, band member for Hanifah Walidah, and tour DJ for Detroit's own favorite hip-hop artist Invincible.
Born and raised in the culture of hip-hop, DJ SAKE-1 has been looking for the perfect beat since 1989. A founding member of California's (((Local 1200))) Sound System, DJ SAKE-1 has utilized a combination of advanced science and Bay Area hustle to genetically alter the hip-hop idiom into a 360 degree circle of soul. You can find DJ SAKE-1 kickin' up dust and making 5,000-person venues feel like neighborhood house parties from San Francisco to New York City to Atlanta to London and beyond...
Since he began DJing professionally in 1997, DJ Graffiti aka The Mangler aka Martin Smith, has become an icon of Michigan’s music community by rocking the dancefloor, spinning live shows for Detroit emcee Phat Kat, and creating mixtapes with an uncompromising level of quality. Martin founded his marketing company Rapture Enterprises LLC in 2001. In 2007, Martin co-founded A-Side Worldwide, a marketing, management and design firm. And in 2009 Martin co-founded Snapfuze, an innovative Photobooth and DJ Services company. His motto: Sleep is Overrated.
